New Position Open
Emperor-of-oro has vacated their place as the contest coordinator, meaning that we're now looking for a new contest admin.
So, if you're interested, send us an application telling us why you think you'd be good for the job.
We're looking especially for someone who's mature, able to check in at least once a week (with possibility of more later on), not new to dA, and 15 years or older (though this could be disregarded if you show maturity). Also, you must already be a member.

~Yleen sent me ( ~shampoo ) a message, asking if it was alright to make a Hikago fanart account. I asked her if she'd like to join our team and make it part of this club, and she said alright.
So, go check out the Fanworks and start sending in your work

"In the Year 2000"

Those of you familiar with Conan O'Brien will get that contest title. In this contest, you draw a Hikago character how you think they would look in the future!
Deadline: None set (determined after we receive enough entrants)
Rules:
- It must be a Hikago character.
- They must be at least 5 years older.
- You can feature more than one character (five max).
- Make it a scene or just a regular a portrait - just as long as it shows them older, it's fine!
- Your work only. Collabs are allowed only in a one person draws, another colors form.
- Must be a member (I think this was obvious without being stated -_-)

The winner will be the next featured deviation (with permission). Have fun!

Hikago News
The last Hikago chapters were released recently. You can find translations here: [link] and scans here: [link]

Hikaru no Go debuted in Shonen Jump in the January 2004 issue. It's fairly close to the original, except instead of the "Hand of God," they translate it to "the Divine Move." >.<

To join, send a note, not a comment. Just send a note to hikarunogo with the subject line "I want to join." That's it! You don't have to have any Hikaru no Go fanart or icon, you just have to like Hikago! Also, if you play Go online, send your Yahoo! Games and/or Kiseido screen names and skill level (beginner - expert).
Comments asking to join will be legitimate, but will not get processed as quickly. Sending a note is the fastest way to join. Also, if you post a comment asking to join, we will not send you a confirmation letter (you will still be added).
